Teaching

I love teaching! I greatly enjoy sharing the knowledge that I have gained and encouraging a batch of new students to venture into this incredible field that is computer science. Particularly, I love experiencing that “click” moment with students; you know, when they have been struggling with something a little bit, but then suddenly… OH! It makes sense! I had a fantastic time during my education with great instructors that allowed me to have those clicking moments myself. Now, after having had the chance of being the instructor of record for my own class, and worked as a TA a bunch of times, I have learned that it is not something that happens from chance, usually, but something that happens when the instructor leads students to the right place while letting them figure out things on their own. So my goal is to point students in the right direction, give them a little nudge to get them going, and then let them “click away” :)
